These flowers were painted on-site at Lyndale Park in Minneapolis, MN, and additional work on the background was done in-studio. Features a pair of poppy flowers, one white and one orange, accented by a couple of purple allium flowers. Running and dripping effects in the background are created with water-based casein paint and glazed over with oil. Painted on board with both palette knife and brush. The shape of the flower petals is enhanced by the thickly applied paint.
Framed in a 3.5" wide wood frame with a black finish and gold inner edge. May be purchased unframed by request. This piece will make a cheerful and stunning addition to any room in your home or work space, or a fabulous gift for a special occasion.
