The sight of a field of poppies swaying in the wind on a summer's day always lightens my mood and puts a smile on my face.
This summer many fields and road verges were left unmowed and produced wonderful flowering meadows for the bees and other insects.
Painted loosely with energetic strokes I hope the painting gives that same feeling of joy and pleasure.
