Original artwork description:

This is an original oil painting of a poppy field, inspired by the centenary of World War I in November 2018. This painting is one of three black and white paintings with a red accent, exploring some element of what it means to be British. I love painting flowers and poppies in particular are a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by our grandfathers and their fathers.

This painting has been produced using artist grade oil paint on canvas board. A coat of professional grade art varnish has been applied to optimise the colour pigment and protect the painting from dust, UV light (fading) and other environmental factors. The painting has been signed and is sold in a handmade wooden frame, fitted with picture wire, ready to hang.

The painting measures 20" x 30" (50.8 cm x 76.2 cm).
