Original artwork description:

Painted in my home garden in Inverness. The catmint was a bit flattened by our cats who used to love to sit in the middle. As everything was moving about with the wind, I had to choose a strategic way to paint it, hence the quick single brushstrokes. I was studying Turner's watercolours and sketches before setting off on the second round of my European travels. He had this green-grey, slightly textured paper made specially for his travel sketchbooks, so I thought I'd give it a go.

Materials used:

Watercolour on green-grey Turner Paper
