"POPPIES" is a typical Dutch landscape. The centrepiece of this work is a young girl, adorned in an immaculate white dress. Her essence reflects the purity of the poppies that surround her.

In the foreground, the canvas comes alive with an explosion of warm red; the flowers dance in harmony with the girl's skipping rope gracefully swirling through the air. The poppies, like bursts of joy frozen in time, form an enchanting contrast to the girl's ethereal white dress.

Above it, the sky tells a story of approaching drama. The sky, painted in warm hues, betrays the calm below with the threat of thunder. Dark clouds gather and cast a shadow over the idyllic scene.
