Where artwork is concerned does size matter? Following a gallery visit I was struck by the sheer size of all the works exhibited. It was as if only paintings over a certain dimension were considered for selection by the curators. I wondered if the artworks would have made the same impression had they been smaller. This artwork is a response to that visit, an experiment with dimensions, and a play on words.

The canvas is painted white with a 2.5cm square in the centre featuring a painting of male genitals. The words "size matters" have been printed small and stuck to the artwork near the top, acting as both a title and a conceptual element. the edges are painted white, so it can be hung without framing.
