Poolbeg Chimneys, Sandymount is one of a series of recent works I have based on these 2 amazingly striking and beautiful chimneys, it’s hard to believe that anything industrial can actually be beautiful but these proud chimneys succeed… I have always been drawn to these chimneys and loved to spot from the train window when I was a child and later on the dart …
This painting glories in the striking contrast between the red & white stripes and the dramatic cloudscape behind them, the chimneys are almost jewel like against the blues of the sky
*This painting is oil on board and is framed in a limed white bevel edged wooden box frame and is 57 x 45 x 4 cm Framed
*All work is carefully bubble wrapped and packed in a cardboard box then delivered directly to you
