A pond skater rests on the waters surface. Is it aware of the 9 hungry fish below?

Pond Skater's Peril was inspired by the flowing colours and simple strokes of Chinese water art, after an idea I had for an inlay for a large Opium table. The table was a huge success and kick started many sales from my pond fish series. This painting was originally a simple acrylic on canvas, but I have recently revisited it and finished in in oils. I think it makes a very pleasing, colourful addition to my collection.
