Poli by the Shore is the endeavour to tap into the magical and sublime aspect of being in nature. I grew up by the sea and its beauty captured my heart and the side of me that longs to understand the mystery of its sheer yet simple existence.

The composition has a sense of a magical ritual or happening, without it being overt and leading the viewer in a specific direction. She holds the perfectly symmetrical stone at the heart, the place, to me, where all longing and love of the mystery takes place.

My style is often interpreted as Magical Realism . Magical Realism focuses on the explorations of the strangeness and incongruousness of existence.
