I sculpted this Polar Bear as a commissioned gift for a client’s dear friend. I was so happy to be sculpting such a symbol of animal preservation and efforts towards conservation. As the biggest bear, and most threatened by climate change, it has both presence and poignancy. I tried to bring a sense of life into the portrait through the turned pose, and create dynamiscm through the expressive darks of the heavy textures.

This bronze resin Polar Bear Portrait Head statue bears Tanya’s signature and unique edition number. Your casting of the Polar Bear sculpture will be personally approved and will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
