Polar Bears are magnificent animals and their lives are threatened, prompting their classification as vulnerable. Able to inhabit one of the less hospitable places on Earth, I find these creatures both inspirational and beautiful. I sculpted this one out of clay and then made a mold so that I could cast in a number of materials including plaster and bronze. The one featured here is cast plaster.
