Original artwork description:

Painted en plein air (on location) at the beginning of the Bird Island Trail in Point Lobos Nature Reserve near Carmel, California, trying to catch the last light before sunset. Thick paint layers accentuate the roughness of the cliffs and choppy waters.

Materials:
Oil on oil-primed Claessens Belgian linen on 1/8 MDF archival art panel, the back of the panel finished with melamine that prevents warping and deterioration. Painting surface is protected with a coat of Gamvar varnish.

This painting is listed unframed. It will easily fit in a standard (US) 9"x12" frame.
