Original artwork description:

Experimental colour piece of overlaid images exploring space and images inspired from a residency in Cyprus back in 2013. I spent six months exploring the island, its customs, its art, conversing with the locals and travelling around their beautiful island. The images in this drawing made with colour pencils are inspired from my travels around the island, bringing together various experiences into one image, capturing my experience of living and working on the island of Aphrodite.

The image is produced with colour pencils on fabriano, layering a variety of images seen whilst travelling in Cyprus. Images include donkeys seen in Pafos and a local dog at the Bath of Aphrodite, dolls from vaious local churches, landscapes, trees, roofs, buildings seen whilst travelling around Pafos.
