Original artwork description:

Originally this painting was going to be very similar the one of the sunset over the Mill, but as I was painting this a huge thunderstorm commenced it was so fascinating and violent that I went outside and watched the whole thing transpire above me. After the storm had passed I rushed back inside and added a clump of Lamp Black to my palette and began to smudge and hit the canvas with pure black, eventually turning the chaos into the storm I had just witnessed.
