Original artwork description:

A very simple line drawing which shows the model on her knees arms up as if pleading. Drawn at a time when attention has been drawn to the plight of women as the world rebalances from the domination of male-led organisations and social-practices.

Sienna conte pastel makes the lovely lines when using the edge. The positioning of the drawing means it can be shown in different shapes - create a mount to give a square of paper around the drawing or stick with a rectangle.

Bonus ... on the reverse/vecto there is a second drawing in sienna conte with the model perhaps attending to her make up in a mirror sitting on a stool. Something she is doing by choice, celebrating herself. A long leg stretching out to the left. With careful handling and mounting you could switch to the other side every few months! Size easily sits in an A3 frame.

Created on a cream paper 30 x 40 cm (12 x 16") - will be rolled for delivery (glassine inside to protect the drawing).

Mounting/Mat Suggestion: An image is included of how the piece could look if float-mounted or put behind mountboard(s) [in the US known as mats] before framing.

Materials used:

Conte pastel
