Inspiration: Large tapestries and beautiful silk and wool rugs.

Playing Favourites was an intuitive piece using a preselected colour palette. This started with multiple layers of under painting on a black canvas. For the final details l used deliberate placement of strategically painted marks.

This artwork has been painted on an un-stretched canvas/linen blend. It has been painted to the edges, therefore the design will continue around the edges of the canvas once stretched.

Measurements when stretched are approximately 158cm high x 184cm wide.

Due to the size of this piece is will be shipped, rolled in a tube.
