The memory of our childhood past can be sweet in many ways - cotton candy, ice cream and bubblegum, blowing soap bubbles and dandelions, scraped knees and brave little hearts. This piece encompasses the vibrating energy of our childhood, the viewer's eyes are never stagnant, moving about the canvas, exploring dots from pastels to brights, bubbling and scattering. This movement is supported and grounded by the shapes in the background, each transitioning in seamless gradations. The smoothness of the background is contrasted with the textures of the foreground. As we age, we somehow organize, make sense and meaning of our experience - some parts fade into the background, while others stand out still.
