Original artwork description:

Near the Metropolitan Museum of Art, I was attracted by thin plane trees with knotted branches. I started doing this series after moving to New York. Right next to our new home in the park or on neighbouring streets or in distant areas, I take photos with my phone of plants that interest me and then paint semi-abstract paintings based on these impressions. Some plants remind me of my hometown, some I see for the first time. This way I get to know my new surroundings and try to get used to the new territory.
