This was an interesting subject I found in the narrow lanes in the old parts of Ahmedabad. The warm winter light and shadows, the pose of the resting cows, the textures and colors on the wall attracted me to paint this subject. The absence of any humans in the scene reminded me of the movie 'Planet of the apes' and hence the title!
