The lovely village of Pittenween is one of several on the southern coast of Fife in Scotland. It still maintains the traditional fishing industry it was built on. The rustic houses lined up along the shore look fantastic in the bright midday sun.
I painted this last summer while on holiday, gingerly hopping across the rocks out into the bay at low tide to be able to see the village as an approaching vessel would. The rich oranges and red provide a great contrast to the blue skies overhead.
The white solid-wood frame with pewter effect inlay lets this piece thrive. It would be an eye-catching centrepiece in any coastal kitchen or bathroom.
Signed by me and ready to hang, comes with handwritten certificate of authenticity.
