Original artwork description:

Pisces, Mutable Water, is the twelfth sign in the Astrological Horoscope.
Dates are usually : Feb 20 - March

In this 2012 series, the Faces of the Astrological Signs,
I have depicted Pisces with her head in the misty clouds to represent Mutable (changeable) Water. Her earrings are droplets.
The stars which form the huge Pisces constellation create a V shape inside which she rests.
The Astrological glyph which represents the tied Fishes, is a diamanté brooch on her breast.
In this, as in the two other Water signs, Scorpio and Cancer, I have kept the palette cool blue but I've added a little red to remind us that Aries, Cardinal Fire, is the approaching Sign.

This image (as has Cancer) has been reproduced in the excellent 2020 publication by Taschen: The Library of Esoterica (Astrology).

Astrology:
This is the third series of astrological illustrations that I've made in my career.
The first was for Cosmopolitan Horoscope Page in 1990 (large pastel drawings)
The second for Aura Soma Colour therapy Company in 1999 (watercolours which are a published Goddess book available on Amazon)
This, third series I painted for myself in 2012/2013, again watercolour but concentrating on the faces.
