Anyone can fall upon hard times is the meaning behind this painting. Pinocchio never had a mother. That has so many psychological implications it fascinated me as an idea for a painting. Fairy tales and biblical stories fascinate me as they have a depth beyond the simplicity of the story. Pinocchio becomes a real boy but grows up to be a broken man. Anyone of us put into the right situation can fall into the darkest of holes and having compassion for people that do is another message I want to put across in tjis painting.

This painting comes as a rolled canvas with extra several inches around image for framer to stretch to frame or board. Stretching to frame is around a $100 far far cheaper than if I was to ship it stretched that’s the reason why it’s rolled.
