Original artwork description:

Bright and modern still life painting of pink tulips on a brilliant blue patterned table cloth. Layers of underpainting peek through in my usual style to add interest and reveal how the painting was constructed. I enjoy leaving elements a little unfinished, leaving previous elements and marks made on show. It helps to tell the story of the painting. I love the imperfections in an art work and knowing when to stop before it becomes too polished.

Acrylic on stretched canvas, finished with a matt varnish for protection
