There is very little that makes me more proud than growing a beautiful, pink etc. gladiolus from a bulb. Not only that - I've discovered they can even spread themselves! What I particularly loved about this one was the light from behind it. I have attempted to make a painting before that glows - but finally, this one actually does! The rich contrasts of alizarin crimson against veridian and sap green, coupled to the whites - well, they sing! This original oil is painted on an archival linen board and is unframed. If you revel in the beauty of nature - well, here you go.
