Original artwork description:

Acrylic & Pastel painting on specially prepared board. Professionally framed.

This painting was inspired by a late evening road trip through Wales overlooking Llyn Gwynant. This is my interpretation of the view explored by using colour, line and pattern to capture the essence of the moment.

Laminated backed MDF board is specially primed with Gesso and further prepared with a layer of Golden Acrylic Ground for Pastel mixed with Golden Fluid Acrylics to add a coloured ground and tooth for the pastel. The painting was then developed using Charcoal and a mixture of hard and Soft Unison Pastels.

This painting went on to be awarded the Mayor's Choice Award at Cheshire Open Studios Annual Open Exhibition 2016 as was awarded by Mayor of Macclesfield Cllr Alit Harewood-Jones as can be verified on and holding award certificate.

Professionally framed with white wooden frame, mount and behind glass. Ready to hang with fixings and chord on back. Comes with certificate of authenticity.

Materials used:

Unison Pastels, Gesso, Acrylic Ground for Pastel (Golden), Golden Fluid Acrylic
