Painted on-site at Boerner Botanical Gardens in Hales Corners, WI. Features a parrot tulip flower with ruffled petals in shades of white, pink, and red on a background of dark indigo and green with light blue and violet accents. Dripping effects in the background were created with water-based casein paint and glazed over with oil. Painted on board with both palette knife and brush. The shape of the flower petals is enhanced by the thickly applied paint. Framed in a 3.5" wide wood frame with an antique silver finish and black inner edge. May be purchased unframed by request.
