An original limited edition multi-block linoprint.

This print is a bright and bold celebration of the panther, inspired by a woodcut by the 18th century English artist Thomas Bewick. I wanted to use bold and strong colours to create a lively, joyous and contemporary image.

Once I have designed the image, I transfer it to lino, which I then hand-carve. I print the linoprint in my studio, using a roller press. As each print is individually printed, there may be slight variations in tone and colour.

This print is made using three separate linoblocks, which are each individually inked and printed in different colours. Here I have a strong orange background and the panther is printed with a strong magenta for its body, overlaid with a darker magenta/purple mix for the detail on its fur. It is printed on pale cream smooth Zerkall paper. Each print has the title, edition number and my signature hand-written in pencil beneath the image. This edition is a variable edition, limited to 50 prints. 'Variable' means there will be other colour ways printed within the total edition of 50. At the moment, the only colour way available is as shown.

The image size is 40x30cm and the paper size is 51x38.5cm.

The print is sold unframed and will be rolled in tissue and bubble wrap and shipped in a cardboard tube by post. UK orders will generally take 3-5 working days to arrive.
