Original artwork description:

I began this painting from a psychologically 'dark' place. Painting has many times released brooding dark energy and with this piece especially.
It began with only the moon, bats and some lifeless sinister trees. As I improved in my well-being I slowly began to include colour, life and a sense of recovery from the darkness in the form of bright moonlight, flowers and a dragonfly. I have always been fascinated by the power of recovery and the radiant iguana symbolises the soaring spirit. Life is indeed beautiful.
