Artwork description:

This print is a study of the Pink Moon. The print was created over the period of a week, layering colours on top of one another. The wood block was lightly carved and sanded over time, removing small pieces to create the illusion of the craters and mounds, re-applying the ink through a process of layering, building up the layers of colour, dips, mounds and forms, creating the form of a Moon.

Pre-selected for the RWA 164th Open Exhibition, Bristol, U.K.

Materials used:

Waterbased Printing Ink on Cartridge Paper
