A single pink lotus in a pond. The lotus flower is a universal symbol of purity and enlightenment. It represents wealth and money. The lotus flower is known for its natural beauty and the flower promotes a harmonious home.

Its flowers blossom on long stalks as if floating above the muddy waters of attachment and desire. The Lotus is symbolic of purity of the body, speech and mind as while rooted in the mud. Whatever the situation one is in, let's rise above it as fresh and pure as these lovely flowers! Everything in nature has something to teach us, what life is all about! To live in harmony with mother nature!

I paint water lilies without any preliminary drawing or planning. All my water lilies in watercolor are free-hand types and I go with the flow to complete the painting. It is indeed a great meditative experience for me.
