ORIGINAL NIKOLAY MARTINOV ARTWORK !!!

2022, "Pink Shadow" - wood wall relief

This original hand carved wood wall sculpture is one of the latest artworks of the skillful Bulgarian contemporary sculptor Nikolay Martinov, deeply inspired by abstract geometry, contemporary cubism and pop art. Pink is a pale tint of red. It is the color most often associated with charm, politeness, sensitivity, tenderness, sweetness, childhood, femininity and romance. The combination of pink and beige is associated with chastity and innocence. The artist's concept with this combination of colors is to open up a light and purifying effect onto the viewer and trigger his/her inner humility and calmness. It is one extraordinary fractal layers woodcarving masterpiece and exquisite home wall décor.
Nikolay Martinov’s work encompasses many contemporary art styles with the act of minimal drawing being key to his exploration of form and sculptural composition. Mining a space between figuration and abstraction, the artist consistently returns to nature as a point of departure, exploring algorithmic forms and urban shapes as a metaphor for transformation.
