Original artwork description:

I developed a passion for painting birds when I lived in Guatemala, the country is rich with tropical flora and fauna and I was lucky enough to live in a very tropical area where I would be woken early by beautiful bird song. Hummingbirds were a regular sighting in my garden and a (patient) trip deeper into the jungle would be rewarded with sightings of toucans and macaws. Of course there are no flamingos in Guatemala, but my inspiration expanded to other beautiful birds around the world.
