Original artwork description:

This Mixed-Media Acrylic Paint and Ink on high quality 300gsm Paper was started “en plein air” in San Jose, California. It was started in 2017 whilst my wife and I were visiting relatives in San Jose and this Pine Tree is in their back garden. I was interested in the shapes of the branches of this big beautiful tree and how the early evening light cast shadows across it. I originally drew and painted it over three sessions because the light would fade after the sun had set. After returning home to Taiwan, I recently decided to finish the piece from memory. I built up the detail of the Pine Tree by drawing on top of the original painting, overlaying Ink and hatching lines to define the shapes and shadows of the bark, branches and leaves.
A note to International Buyers:
Shipping rates have increased in price all around the world due to Covid and other complications. Due to this I have had to increase the the cost of shipping my artworks in line with the Delivery Companies. I will always strive to find the cheapest possible option for the customer (usually my local POST OFFICE EMS Recorded Delivery, but unfortunately they don’t deliver worldwide at the moment) If the amount of shipping charged at purchase is less than the shipping company charges then I will refund the difference to the customer. This refund will be done after the picture has arrived safely and has been accepted.
Any import duties, taxes and charges that may be payable are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges, if applicable, will be the responsibility of the buyer. Please message me to check if this might affect your purchase.
