Artwork description:

Pillboxes as wartime relics exist all over the uk, on the coast and straegically placed on rivers and estuaries. As the defensive architecture of an island nation, they are reminders of a time of fear and sorrow.

One of an ongoing series of seascapes and sky images that have clouds as their main focus. Clouds are ethereal forms; in my prints they represent the world that lies beyond my own concerns.

This is a four colour screenprint on Fabriano Rosaspina paper.

Materials used:

285gsm print paper, screenprint ink.
