Original artwork description:

I was inspired by a little brooch that was made with tiny mosaic stones. The scale of the mosaic is much larger and reminiscent of canal work or folk art.
The technique of mono-printing with screen-printing inks really lends it self to the result. The image has a lovely painterly jewel like effect that can only be printed once.

printmaking inks on Somerset printmaking paper
