I loved all the James Bond movies growing up. It was important to me to develop the straight on seriousness of the iconic James Bond but with a twist. Over the top colors, strong brush work, and isolated color blocks create a pseudo-pop art image. Orange hues paired with their direct complementary color, blue, deconstruct the seriousness of the image, endowing it with the characteristics of a pop art portrait. "Pierce 007" has a loose brush stroke, gestural in style.


Oil on wood panel. The work may be hung straight out of the box using the attached gator hanging brackets or framed.
