An inviting impressionist seascape, with great amounts of detail in the legs of the pier and their reflections, and strolling people. Violet clouds overhead give way to gently rolling waves. Surrounded by the ocean, hearty breezes often blow on these "windows on the world". Everything is so amplified on a pier, from the smell of the ocean to the sight of seagulls swooping by as fisherman clean their catch in the basins. Surfers enjoy the break here, too, but the wide sandy beach is attractive for just about any activity. The next time you’re visiting the coast, take time to stroll on the pier. It’s one of the most enjoyable activities around.

Materials:
Oil on oil primed Claessens Belgian linen canvas on 1/8 MDF archival art panel, finished with melamine backing that prevents warping and deterioration. Painting surface is protected with a coat of Gamvar varnish. Painting is unframed and requires a frame to hang.
