Original artwork description:

I love the iconic image of the advertising hoarding backdrop to Eros in Picadilly Circus. It is such a well-known sight in London yet it continues to captivate. I wanted to capture the moment just after dusk, when all the lights are lit and the sun has disappeared but the sky is not totally dark. All the lights seem to morph to create a new architecture that fits around the actual architecture.
This painting is framed in a bespoke dark grey frame in a 'Whistler' moulding with a white slip and a gold inner rim to bring out the warmth in the painting.

Materials used:

Oil paint on linen canvas
