Phoenix Scales is another painting in my series of abstract artworks inspired by my love of fantasy creatures. Phoenix Scales was created using bold colours like red to contrast with the blue.

Contrasting colours often mix into mud, but as I do in all my paintings, in order to create a lasting visual impression, hours of practice are needed to maintain a good amount of visible blue which looks great with the bright red.

Art buyers (and art lovers) will see symbolic references to prominent 21st century abstract painters like as I offer homage to their artistic vision through my own art.
