I do like watching sunrise, the drama of extraordinary colours in the sky and landscape. It does necessitate getting up early. The effect is unpredictable, sometimes absolute brilliant, other times quiet which are not so exciting. I like to watch both sunrise and sunset to study the reflected light on the landscape. Phoebus Rising was based on a particularly vivid one, dark blue sky and orange when the sun came over the trees. Phoebus the Roman god Apollo the Greek god both symbolised by the sun. presented with text edges left Phoebus Rising right Spreading Light, signed on the right edge, signed titled and dated on the reverse.
