Rendered in pure encaustic wax, the painting’s textural depth and luminous color are achieved through careful layering with a brush and stylus. The fluidity of the wax medium allows for a rich interplay of light and shadow, conveying both the calm and the energy of the landscape. Created in 2010, this work invites viewers to immerse themselves in the serene yet powerful presence of the lake, balancing the natural elements in a timeless composition.

The procedure itself dates back to antiquity and has been known for thousands of years. Only a few artists around the world work with wax on its own.
Pictures made with encaustic are characterized by bright color and silky light. Thanks to the well-preserving properties of the wax, the colors do not fade over time and retain their liveliness.
Encaustic paintings, like paintings taken with oil, must be protected from water and physical influences. Do not place it under glass when framing!


This work will be delivered with an invoice and a signed certificate of authenticity. Carefully packaged and tracked shipping. I ship this works in cardboard boxes careful wrapped in bubble foil and protect the painting with cardboard.
