The pheasant is positioned gracefully, looking to its right, its elegant neck curving gently as if to glance at something intriguing just out of view. Painted in a rich palette of warm hues- yellows, russet red, deep emerald- it flaunts a striking plumage. Many techniques were used here like wet-on-wet, dry on wet, salt and spatters to create interesting textures.
