Original artwork description:

I found the pewter jug in a tiny shop filled to the ceiling with al kinds of antiques and oddities. I loved the ships sailing on the blue glass and the tarnished metal textures, it was clearly wanting to be painted. I really wanted to push the colours reflected from the red material and have strong abstract shapes.
