Original artwork description:

The call of the pewit is probably what most people are familiar with. It's a sound that reminds me of summer and open fields.

I start the canvas with a rough pencil sketch and then I add the coloured paper before building up the layers with acrylic paint. The last thing I add are the embellishments of thread, bits of pottery and glitter to pick out or highlight certain areas.
