Original artwork description:

This petite impressionistic still life I created last year in Turkey. Fresh bright persimmons with their sonorous color specify a colour for the whole picture and play the role of a bright accent. I depicted as fruits as well as surrounding applying dense thick strokes. The composition carries the effect of a snapshot, in which the edge of a bright emerald plate, a knife, and a towel are captured. In my opinion, this introduces an element of spontaneity and adds liveliness to the picture. I was especially inspired by the light, reflexes, and shimmer effects that are so typical in the Mediterranean and which I especially love in painting.
