As the rest of the world sleeps, we turn on the navigation lights, check the ropes and slip out of sight. Dawn is our long time friend. A daily reward that makes up for the days we come back empty. Fish or no fish, the seagulls come faithfully along for the ride. They too hope for a good day.

A dreamy piece inspired by those who feed their families with the fruits of our seas. Those little fishing villages that dot our planet, filled with ancient traditions and trepidation. With an impressionist approach, I used ink and acrylic on high quality canvas with a UV protective varnish. The painting continues along the edges and is signed on the front and back. It is ready to hang and invoke a sense of calm and contemplation in your home.
