A diorama in a box.
Although I live in a capital city, I still love to find my own personal space where I can do my own thing, work, create, relax, whatever! I find I can cut myself off from everything going on around me and have my 'own space' and this is what inspired me to make this art box. I am in a big busy city, but I am 'somewhere' else!
The island is hand built with paper mache, plaster and sand. The scale figures are hand painted and the background is drawn on to film. The sea is made with modelling resin and painted.
The clear front slides in and out from the top.
Wall hangers fitted on the rear of box or can simply be displayed on a shelf. Signed on the back.
