In my case, persimmon is a paradoxical fruit. I've painted it many times, but never tasted it. Actually, I really like fruits, as an art object, but as a meal ... I'm not a big "fruit eater". So I want to believe that on this sketch it came out appetizing to the extent that it really is (which I can only judge by appearance).
I tried to add some expression to brush strockes and avoid a straightforward realistic image. In my opinion, some incompleteness and roughness attach the liveliness that I would like to follow in my painting style.
