When I started this drawing I intended to carry on my research into the edges of a picture and how they can influence the overall impression of an image. Soon after starting, I began thinking about peripheral vision and where it starts and finishes. When hanging an artwork, the room that it is in becomes your peripheral vision, but when you are creating an artwork, you do not think about peripherals because you never know where the artwork will eventually be hung. This is all very obvious and it would be safe to assume that peripheral vision starts from the outer edge of the picture frame. Being a student in the study of the Art Language (Abstract) I started thinking about an alternative to a picture frame and whether peripherals could be blended together with the picture and influence where the picture should be hung. After many hours of thinking about this, I have concluded that what I have been doing is describing what a MURAL is.
