This pivotal work combined several series into one. Wanting to juxtapose the President of the United States (who was impeached for extorting the President of Ukraine) quotes with that of a spoiled child, I needed a dynamic way to present the concept. Trump is all about flash and vennear with nothing underneath, so the glitter was the perfect solution for his child doppelganger. The words he used in the phone call, and everyday, are often dangerous, misguided, or illegal, so the glass with sharp and dangerous edges seemed appropriate.

The glass panel sits off the main image of glitter and is frosted except for the words so you can see the image beneath. The panel is glued to a wood structure on the inside of the permanent frame.

This was my taking the plunge into using glitter in a deeper way; mixing colors, building the image like an oil painting, and helped further my handling of the material.
